The Head Office for Charm Diamond Centres (CJ Limited) in Dartmouth, NS, is looking for a full-time, experienced Senior Drupal Developer to join our team. About the Role Our national retail brand runs a large-scale e-commerce site built on Drupal, with deep custom integrations: real-time inventory systems, fulfillment pipelines, Buy Online-Pick up in-store (BOPIS), Apache Solr search, custom product builders, and more. The architecture is complex, and the person in this role will be expected to understand, maintain, and evolve that complexity. We’re looking for a strong full-stack developer who knows Drupal deeply - not just how to theme it, but how to build for it. You’ll be solely responsible for direct Drupal development. While you’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders, including designers, marketers, and IT staff, the development of writing clean, secure, well-structured code will be your primary responsibility. We value clarity, stability, and scalability over clever hacks. What You’ll Do: Building and maintaining custom Drupal modules (D10+) Working with Symfony components, Twig templates, Composer, and modern PHP workflows Supporting and evolving complex features like Solr-based search, BOPIS workflows, and custom product builders Reviewing and improving legacy code, with a strong eye toward documentation and maintainability Working directly with marketing and business teams to scope features and implement improvements What You’ll Bring: Five or more years of progressively more responsible work in the field of Information Technology and web production environments, including 4-6 years of technical business requirements analysis experience, and 4-6 years of software project management experience in an Agile environment. Team lead experience a strong asset. Excellent knowledge of data structures and the impacts of data decisions, using databases such as MS SQL, and other like tools. At least 3 years of hands-on expertise with NodeJS, React, the MERN stack, and MongoDB. Proven 3+ years of experience in building and deploying applications using DevOps pipelines. Current, in-depth knowledge of: website best practices; full website development lifecycle; production of multimedia assets; gathering and analyzing technical requirements, and project management, as well as, experience with/knowledge of database development, physical and logical database design, and data conversion (e.g. PostgreSQL, SQL, MySQL); programming languages and frameworks (e.g. MERN, Javascript, , CSS, SASS, Twig, PHP, YAML, Symfony, Drupal, VBA, MS Power Automate) Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with strong strategic storytelling and presentation capabilities.
