Job Description

DSSP Consulting is looking to hire an energetic, forward-thinking Data Scientist professional in support of the Architect of the Capitol!

Location: 100% Remote
Employment Type: 1099, Part-time or Full-time (20-40 hours/week)
Salary: Up to about $90/hour

The specific scope of this position includes providing planning, program management consultation, technical assistance, testing, and documentation writing in support of the Chief Data Officer’s (CDO) efforts to:

• Modernize Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes
• Curate data sources in the agency data catalog
• Support testing of patches to the Financial Management System (Momentum), including testing of custom reports and interfaces
• Support of AOC data marts / databases / tabular models, systems, reports and interfaces that require changes due to upgraded ETL processes and migration of reporting from SSRS to PowerBI and Tableau
• Assist in the design, development and documentation of new data lakehouse systems to meet agency analytics needs
• Provide expert support in the ongoing efforts to modernize the Payroll Corrections system including requirements gathering, documentation, testing data interface changes and providing consulting expertise on process improvements
• Assist Data & Business Intelligence Division (DBID) in projects relating to WebForm development and Management Operational Reporting (MOR) tasks. Provide expert analysis and support of the AOC SharePoint webform framework
• Assist in the development, testing, and deployment of Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning projects in the Azure cloud environment
• Provide support in development and documentation of business processes related to Data Projects
• Support the data governance councils (Data Advisory Board and Data Technical Council) with the receipt, reviewal and ongoing monitoring of requests

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline plus a minimum of 5-8 years of related experience
• Experience with Data Lakehouse Systems

Preferred Skills:

• Payroll process experience
