The name of the Darwin Consort is a nod to Charles Darwin’s concept of evolution, as this is a versatile group of string players that enjoys making chamber music in different ensemble formats. Since its foundation the Darwin Consort performed as sextet, clarinet quintet, string trio and as string trio with tenor.
